I’m proud to officially announce that Cannibal Nuns from Outer Space! will be released in the summer of 2019. The idea came to me one morning when I woke up at my mum’s house. The title was there and the opening scene itself, which is more than enough to get me going. After racing home (within the speed limit), I started writing it that very day. I love b-movies, with their ropey special effects, dubious dialogue and OTT characters, it’s pretty much suited to what I wanted to do with my writing at that time.

It’s everything you think it will be, bold brash characters, body parts, demons, animals, jokes, monsters and of course, the titular cannibal nuns from outer space! This is basically the first book in my GoreCom phase, and I cannot wait for it to be launched into the world. The blurb is:

With an encyclopaedic knowledge of cake, and exclusive access to the church’s stockpile of holy weapons, the Order of the Crimson Rosary are on the frontline in the eternal war between good and evil. Father Flynn, the top operative in the UK, has been responsible for a number of recent high profile gaffs. Given an ultimatum, he must choose between returning to his old job of preserving the last microfiche machine in the church’s library, or submit himself for rehabilitation.

Yet evil doesn’t take a ticket and wait in line, as the dreaded cannibal nuns from outer space land to begin their annual harvest. Can Flynn get himself sober enough to repel their evil machinations? Or will another idyllic British village become the nun’s latest buffet?

One thing’s for certain, to beat them…Father Flynn is going to have to kick the habit.

The book will be published by EyeCue Productions and my old running mates, The Sinister Horror Company. It will also be available in three formats. As it’s very much a straight-to-DVD type of book, it’s set up like a DVD. So there are fake movie trailers, cut scenes, alternate endings and director’s commentary, though each version will have different stuff in:

The Pirate Torrent Version – Kindle only. This will have a slightly fuzzed out cover, (it’s been recorded in a cinema), and will only have two fake movie trailers.

Theatrical Release Version – Paperback copy. This will have the full cover as a wraparound, three fake movie trailers which are different to the Pirate Torrent Version and an alternate ending (known as the Darth Plagiarist ending).

Special Edition – Hardback copy. This will have the lot. A different cover, the five fake movie trailers plus two bonus ones, the full book, both alternate endings (the Darth Plagiarist ending and the Red Dwarf ending), cut scenes and the director’s commentary. This extra stuff is only found in this version. Please note, this is a special edition, not limited edition. There will always be copies. Until civilisation is wiped out anyway.

All three will be available at launch through my website, The Sinister Horror Company and Amazon.
